Lots of people have been getting their spring cleaning on, and we’re so thankful because our annual Helping Makes U Happy Community Yard Sale is happening on Saturday, May 7, at our building on 1 Neville Street, Center Moriches from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Please come down and look through our collection—one man’s junk is another man’s treasure, and the monies raised will help us to feed all the families we help all summer long!
We will also be having a Mother’s Day raffle, and one for Father’s Day, too—both of which you can enter at the yard sale. We’ll be drawing the Mother’s Day raffle winner immediately following the yard sale and the Father’s Day winner in June.
May is also the month we honor those who have passed while serving in the U.S. Armed Forces and, as we normally do, we’ll be providing breakfast to the veterans at VFW Post 414 in Center Moriches before the Memorial Day Parade.
Please come out to the parade; it means a lot to the veterans. Memorial Day is not just about the barbecue, it’s about remembering those who gave all for our country.
Wishing a happy Mother’s Day to all the mom persons in your life, and a happy, safe Memorial Day to all!
