REVIEW: Hampton Coffee Company

Grab a good cup at the library

The Hampton Coffee Co. officially opened at the Center Moriches Library with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Feb. 13. One hundred percent of the coffee is hand-roasted in small batches at their roastery in Southampton.

The library is Hampton Coffee Company’s sixth location, and its farthest west. Its location in Water Mill is the company’s flagship, as it was the first to open nearly 30 years ago. The flagship is where company owners Jason and Theresa Belkin met.

Back in October, the café was constructed to make way for Theresa and Jason, who live in Westhampton. The new library café offers a menu of homemade hot breakfast and lunch, with coffee and espresso drinks as well as lots of bakery items—all baked right at the library!

The café is open Monday through Sunday from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Strawberry and cheese Danish

The perfect pairing with a plain cup of coffee to your liking. We added cream and sugar and enjoyed the soft Danish with cheese and strawberry filling.

Cinnamon roll with vanilla icing

Surprisingly really good, with moist pastry and not-too-sweet icing. My son loved it and was forced to share with my daughter.

Mocha Freeze

It was a hot day, so I went with the Freeze. The icy slushy was a fun way to get my coffee fix, and I added some mocha to also satisfy my sweet tooth. I also decided to use nonfat milk to make it a little lighter.

Vanilla Freeze

A small, non-caffeinated Freeze for the kids—they loved it. It wasn’t a shake consistency, but a slushy consistency with creamy milk added.
