Local park has hundreds gather for live music, entertainment

The summer is off to a sizzling start at the Common Ground park in downtown Sayville.

Although the Common Ground hosts events throughout the year, the summer features multiple acts that are all family-friendly.

With hundreds in attendance for some shows, camping chairs are lined up elbow to elbow.

Halfway through the summer season, the Common Ground has hosted magicians, bands, and other entertainers.

Wednesday concerts for the remaining summer weeks:

July 17 ~ Amber Ferrari Band ~ Amber has a vocal range, distinctive voice and non-stop energy that will have you dancing along to the beat.

July 24 ~ Soulstice ~ an exciting and dynamic band with a blend of blues-based classic and Southern rock.

Aug.  7 ~ Buoy 34 ~ Enjoy acoustic folk, classic and traditional Irish tunes.

Aug. 14 ~ In The Groove Band — One of LI’s finest dance, R&B and funk bands performs hits from the ‘70s, ‘80s, ‘90s and today.

Aug. 21 ~ Allmost Brothers Band - a tribute act honoring the tradition of the legendary Allman Brothers Band.

Aug. 28 ~ Lazy Bunny Ukulele Band ~ Ditch all your preconceived notions about cover bands and witness this one firsthand!

Family Fridays

July 19 ~ Darlene Graham Song And Dance - Darlene gets everyone up and dancing with her lively music and surprises!

July 26 ~ Ray Grins - Juggling and balancing skills combined with comedy!

Aug. 2 ~ No Family Fridays ~ Visit the Greater Sayville Chamber of Commerce Summerfest.

Aug. 9 ~ The Kroo - from South Bay Arts featuring Camryn, Charlie, Chris, Michael and Chris.
