The Town of Brookhaven recently approved the purchase of 10.5 acres on Senix Creek. The purchase, according to councilman Dan Panico, is to be paid over three years from the Joseph Macchia Environmental Preservation Fund. The total amount is to equal $1.74 million. Additionally, the town plans on closing on the Goldring, roughly 3.13 acres of open space this month, in the amount of $470,490.
