Greater Patchogue Chamber of Commerce held its 11th annual Fall Festival on Saturday and its first under new executive director Silvana Aloiso.
This year’s event included a host of activities for kids including face painting, pumpkin decorating at Carnegie Library, and a Halloween costume parade.
“It’s going really well, and we got lucky with the weather,” Aloiso said of the sunny day in which temperatures reached the mid 70s. “It’s our 11th Fall Festival and the kids are as cute as ever.”
For the adults, the annual chili and chowder competition was a highlight.
Fifteen restaurants offered their favorite variety of chili, from Daisy Nashville Lounge’s Colorado Beef Chili to Del Fuego’s Turkey Chorizo Chili topped with a Mexican cheese blend.
Thirteen restaurants participated in the chowder competition including Whiskey Neat, which offered a corn chowder, and Catch Oyster Bar, which offered a Long Island clam chowder.
