Fully decorated Christmas trees and a raffle lottery that is worth at least $250 in scratch-offs are just a couple of the things people can grab at the St. Mark’s Episcopal Church Christmas bazaar this year.

Held on Saturday, Dec. 4, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., people will once again be dancin’ and prancin’ and shopping at booths that also feature toys, ornaments, craft items, wreaths, gifts, vintage items, jewelry and more. Time for lunch? Go upstairs and select from homemade soups, sandwiches and yummy desserts.

There will also be the return of the popular Bake Table and Cookie Walk, full of homemade treats. “Someone once told us she comes just because we always have the best cookies,” said

Robyn LoCricchio, who heads the Episcopal Church Women group at St. Mark’s.

“We obviously couldn’t have the bazaar last year,” said ECW member Laurel, “and it was such a great loss. We finally have our great tradition back.”

The Christmas bazaar was started almost 45 years ago by the late Helen Selgrad. Please remember that masks are required. St. Mark’s Episcopal Church is located at 754 Montauk Highway in Islip (across from the Oconee Diner).

About ECW

The St. Mark’s ECW organization holds regular fund raisers at St. Mark’s for the sole purpose of doing good deeds through the Church, such as supporting a disadvantaged Girl Scout troop, donating food and money to outreach projects and hosting various educational and health programs. ECW also supports the church upgrades, such as helping with the cost of an air scrubber system, so vital in keeping the church open during these COVID times.

Directions: Turn left on St. Mark’s Lane (across from the Oconee Diner) and go a few feet to the St. Mark’s driveway. Go all the way down to the office building; the Christmas bazaar is held in the office Gathering Place. For more information, call the church office st 631-581-4950.

Fully decorated Christmas trees are just one of the things that buyers can grab at the St. Mark’s Episcopal Church Christmas bazaar. Here, some of the ECW (Episcopal Church Women) members got together to decorate them.
