Where to get the best Super Bowl grub this year

For some it’s the final score, for others it’s the halftime show, but for every- one, game day eats are a must to power through a full day of football.

Local restaurants have thought up some creative and classic packages to satisfy all palates as they cheer on their team.

Sayville Chamber president, Eileen Tyznar said, “Super Bowl Sunday is not only known for football, but also for great food and appetizers! Our chamber asked local stores, pubs, and restaurants to come up with their favorite football nosh specials for in-house and pickup! They didn’t disappoint! Let’s show our support and cheer them on this Super Bowl Sunday by placing your orders today!”

Here are some specials for catering this Sunday, Feb. 7.

The Fish Store
You can get your wings and seafood all in one place at the Fish Store.
Fried appetizer platter for $35.99 includes: onion rings, zucchini sticks, mozzarella sticks, fish cakes, crab cakes, clam strips with lemon, marinara and tartar sauce.

Cavanaugh’s
Nothing like the town pub wings and apps to cheer on your team! Grab a half-tray of 50 wings or a full tray of 100.

Aegean Restaurant
Hearty gyros are a must for meat lovers.
Buy five gyros, get two gyros free. (Takeout only with preorder, Super Bowl Sunday only)

La Tavola
Enjoy half-off wings, pizzas, select beers, and well drinks (bar only) if you prefer to be out for the big game.
You can also order in with “Game Day Packages.” Package 1 ($80): half-tray of wings, half-tray Caesar salad, any two pies. Package 2 ($150) full tray of wings, half-tray Caesar salad, half-tray of meat- balls, any three pies.

Sayville Inn
Enjoy bar classics at home with plenty of options, including:
Half-tray of wings (40 pieces) buffalo, honey barbecue, Old Bay. Comes with celery and Bleu cheese $45. Half-tray cheeseburger sliders (three of each: hot coffee, “Teddy Roosevelt” burger, barbecue bacon) $45. Half-tray hummus (carrots cucumbers, pita) $40.

The Cull House
Back for great eats, just in time for the game! (Takeout on Super Bowl Sunday only).
Lobster bisque pot pie w/garden salad, $22, chicken pot pie w/garden salad, $17.

Wings
VIP on Main Street in Patchogue is offering a Big Game Day catering menu.
The Shady Brady Package|a full tray of wings with ranch or bleu cheese, celery and carrots, a full tray of penne alla vodka and a half tray of buffalo chicken dip and sausage and peppers: $200.
The Pat Ma-Homies Package: A full tray of boneless wings with ranch or blue cheese, celery and carrots, a full tray of baked ziti and a half tray of spinach and artichoke dip and Swedish meatballs: $200.

Meatballs
On Sundays, That Meetball Place offers a $6 tailgate menu, $20 buckets of Bud Light bottles and $4 drafts to help wash down their meatballs while also offering a space to watch the game on a big screen. Takeout cocktail “pouches” are also available.

Heroes
Party heroes come with eight slices per foot and serve three to four people. TJ’s Hero Shop in Patchogue offers the classic Italian, American or combo as well as a veggie option. Prices start at $15 without potato, mac or coleslaw salads and over $17 with.

Need beer? No problem.
The Village Idiot Pub is also offering a growler to go with 20 wings for $50.
