Check out some great dinner spots and family-friendly events for your Easter holiday this year.

With many pandemic restrictions lifted, a return to egg hunts and in-person blessings has returned.

Springfest, Main Street, Sayville

Hosted by the Greater Sayville Chamber of Commerce

Saturday, April 9 at 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Music, giveaways, scavenger hunt, raffle table, visit with the Easter bunny.

Bonnet contest for each age group: 5-8, 9-12, 13-17, 18-plus.

Decorate a spring bonnet and register at the Spring Bonnet Table between 11–11:30 a.m.

Winner of $50 in each age category

Judging at 2 p.m.

St. Ann’s Episcopal Church, Sayville

Sunday, April 10 at 9 a.m., Dominic the Donkey will be dressed in his Palm Sunday reds and available for photographs with the family.

A Palm Sunday Mass will follow in the church at 10 a.m.

United Methodist Church, Bayport

Sunday, April 10 at 9:45 a.m. to 11 a.m. Easter Egg Hunt on Palm Sunday

Sunday, April 17 at 6:30 a.m., Easter Sunrise Celebration at Corey Beach.

Sayville Congregational United Church of Christ

Sunday, April 17, 44th Easter Sunrise on the Great South Bay

The ferry will depart from Sayville Ferry Service at 5:45 a.m. for sunrise at 6:10 a.m. Parking is available at Sayville Ferry, 41 River Road, Sayville.

Return to dock is at 6:45 a.m.

Breakfast from 7:00 - 8:30 a.m. at the church Fellowship Hall at 131 Middle Road, Sayville.

Appetizer and party platters available for Easter Sunday catering. $35.99 (plus tax): onion rings, zucchini sticks, mozzarella sticks, fish cakes, crab cakes, clam strips, with cocktail and tartar sauce.

Shrimp Platters:

$35- 2 lb, $50 – 3 lb, $65 – 4 lb, $80 – 5 lb

Comes with lemon, cocktail sauce, sea leg crabmeat, and garnish.
