Communion dresses for every style

Posted

Brooke, 8, from West Sayville, models a communion dress with headpiece, veil, hosiery, mask, and shoes.

For the busy mom-on-the-go, Tiggy Winks in Sayville has made communion apparel shopping easy with an accessory package ($60) including all the above with purchase of a dress (which range from as low as $50 up to almost $350).

A long-treasured celebration for children in the spring, communions were mostly cancelled last year as they traditionally occur during late March/April.

“This year’s girls want the glitz and glam, with lots of sparkly options,” said Donna Herting, who is the manager of Tiggy Winks. And with multiple styles to choose from including tiaras, halos, and beaded-edge veils, there is something for everyone looking for that perfect look of youthful religious devotion.

Teaming up with Main Street neighbor Stride Rite, Tiggy Winks has an even broader shoe selection than they have had in previous years.

Fitting rooms can only be used during appointments (with ample time between to sterilize and sanitize surfaces) and only three guests may accompany the young lady.
