Emilie Hiller, a senior at Center Moriches High School, was selected as the Chamber of Commerce’s business student of the month.  In the fall of 2027, she plans to continue her academic career with a focus in the legal field.

During her high school career, she focused on business electives and A.P./Honors/IB classes and was a member of the National Honor Society, Foreign Language Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta Honor Society (Math) and National English Honor Society as well as on the High Honor Roll every semester.

Hiller is also a student athlete who played soccer and lacrosse on the varsity level throughout her high school career.  She was also a varsity soccer captain for both the fall 2025 and fall 2026 seasons as well as the varsity lacrosse captain for the spring of 2026.  Also, in the spring of 2026, she was an All-County lacrosse player.

She is also the vice president of the Class of 2027, the Student Council secretary as well as the Foreign Language Honor Society secretary.  She is an active member of the DECA Club and DECA conferences as well as the Peer Leadership Club and Key Club.  She came in second place at the DECA Sports Management and Marketing conference and in the spring of 2026, she received the Red Devil Award.

Outside of school, she volunteers with the Moriches Youth Organization (MYO) for lacrosse.

“As a volunteer, I assist as a coach and help the younger players in learning the basic skills of lacrosse while having fun,” she said.

She also works as a summer camp counselor at the Children’s Museum of the East End.

“As a camp counselor, my job entails supervising the children while focusing on recreational and educational activities in a safe environment,” she said. “I thrive on being a positive role model to younger children.”
