Chalk Walk in downtown Sayville

Assemblyman Jarett Gandalfo (R-District 7) contacted Greater Sayville Chamber of Commerce president Eileen Tyznar to organize a Chalk Walk on Main Street after hosting a similar event in Patchogue.

Local families were invited to decorate the sidewalks of downtown Main Street.

“The chamber is always looking to bring families to Main Street with mini events, and we figured Sunday morning, just prior to the stores opening, would be a great family day to brighten up Main Street and surprise store owners and customers!”

The chamber provided containers with colored chalk for participants and John Healey of the Corner Café made snacks and goody bags for children.

Small prizes were awarded to all entrants and a few gift cards to local businesses were given to the top five most patriotic-themed artwork.
