Aerodrome hosts neighborhood picnic

In an effort to show appreciation to nearby residents, the Bayport Aerodrome hosts an annual Neighborhood Appreciation Picnic. Last year’s was cancelled due to COVID-19—and this year’s was bigger than ever, according to some aerodrome workers and volunteers.

“Today is a day for us to give back to the neighborhood,” said Sean Martens, membership director for the aerodrome. “Our situation is very unique. Most airports don’t have that relationship with the neighborhood they’re in. We have so much support and we appreciate that.”
