BOHEMIA—With the Connetquot High School bowling team’s 3-0 win over Patchogue-Medford on Jan. 10, the T-Birds improved to 7-3 in League II, while holding the highest individual average in the league with 196. Joe Esposito had a 288 in the first game of a 712 series and Anna Polcini had a 256 in the second game of a 676 series against Patchogue-Medford. The T-Birds are now in a race to challenge for first place.
Esposito, who averages 210, which is the highest in the league, also ranks 16th in Suffolk County. He and Polcini recently placed second and third out of 140 bowlers in Suffolk County. Kyle Zere and Angelica Polcini placed third out of 60 Suffolk County doubles teams!
Coach Nick Sturtz is pleased with the team’s effort and success so far, and expects the team to continue to improve as they move into the second half of the season.
