Dozens of trash bags collected in downtown cleanup

On Saturday, April 20, volunteers took to cleaning up areas in downtown Main Street and surrounding parts of Sayville.

Over a dozen trash bags were collected from debris that had accumulated over the winter.

“As Environment, Parks and Agriculture chair, I know the importance of keeping our beautiful island clean, and ensuring our  roads’ waterways are free from trash and litter. We must all continue to do our part. Earth Day events like this cleanup are vitally important to keeping our earth beautiful!” said Legis. Anthony Piccirillo (R-8th District).
